Earthwatch Institute Field Representative for Louisiana Darlene Reaves will speak on these special web-footed and fish-eating birds.
Ms. Reaves taught Geology and Wildlife Biology for the last 11 years at the New Orleans Center for Science and Math, and currently resides in St. Francisville.
This is the third in the Library's Six Special Species Series covering Ms. Reaves work with scientists researching sea turtles, loons, dolphins, manatees, and chimpanzees.
Refreshments will be provided by Friends of the Library. Program is free and open to all.
